The Practice

The Boothroyd's Surgery

is a small, old-fashioned, husband and wife general practice. Established in 1971, Rockley joined in 1991, Janine joined in 1993

Dr Rockley Boothroyd:

Rockley trained locally at the University of Queensland, graduating in 1989. He finished Fellowship training in the specialty of General Practice in 1994. He has a broad range of special interests including Skin Cancer Surgery, Counselling/ Psychology, Aged care, Complex Multi-system problems and Palliative Care.

Outside of work, he keeps busy supporting the four children he has raised with Dr Janine and indulging in an excessive number risky outdoor pursuits!

Dr Janine Boothroyd

Janine trained at the University of Queensland, graduating in 1989 and gaining her FRACGP IN 1995. She qualified in Family Planning and worked for some time at Family Planning Queensland.  She has juggled the demands of mothering four children and running a busy general practice.  She has special interests in Women's Health, Contraception, Paediatrics and Complex Multi-system Problems. Outside of work she is a 5th Dan black belt karate devotee, avid bushwalker and all-round adventurer.

Wendy Farrow

Wendy joined us in 2011 and has become the backbone of the practice.  She manages  EVERYTHING and keeps us all in check and on our game.   Her easy smile will get you on the road to recovery before you see the doctor!
